[music] Chromeo at the House of Blues
When: Fri 7/30 @ 7:00pm
Cost: $20.00
WHAT: The House of Blues will be turned into a yacht on Friday. We'll be looking for some 1980s fashion statements as Montreal's electrofunk duo Chromeo, composed of childhood friends P-Thugg and Dave 1, play their blend of synth funk. Chromeo may have a tongue lodged in their cheek as they pay homage to the smooth sounds of 1980s, but their party is legit.
They formed in 2001 and broke out with the release of their sophomore album,
Fancy Footwork, in 2007. They've toured the world and continued to pop up on the radar with appearances ranging from children's show Yo Gabba Gabba to late night's Jimmy Kimmel Live. They've also kept busy remixing artists including Lenny Kravitz, Vampire Weekend, and Feist. Their third album,
Business Casual, is set for release this September.
WHY: Chromeo are magic. They manage to turn cheese into gold.
